WHAT
WE DO

We design, make, structure, and test nanomaterials.

Delivering fundamental advances for industrial technology transfer

RESEARCH THEMES.

Materials to Devices; Fundamentals to Industry

We know that the function & properties of a material are defined by its form. Chemical structure, Crystal structure, Spatial structure.

We work to control all three of these properties in 2D, carbon, polymer, and ferroelectric materials. To make composites that are cheap, processable, and can be integrated into existing industrial infrastructure.

Fundamental Science

Our bread and butter. We figure out ways to make things grow, have tailored shapes, structures, and properties, and most importantly, why any of that happens!

Energy & The Environment

We develop ways to harvest, convert, and store energy with a low carbon footprint. Targeted applications include wearable sensors, implantable devices, electronic components, pollution remediation and portable energy generators.

Industrial Adaption

We apply our techniques to address challenges in common industrial processes, including mine process water remediation, microplastic degeneration, and construction material fabrication.
