Changing Phase at Room Temperature

Vanadium dioxide is a cool material. When it changes crystal phases, typically at 80 degrees celcius - it absorbs a lot of energy to regulate temperature. We've developed an intrinsic approach to control the temperature this transition occurs at, meaning we can keep things either cool or hot close to room temperature!
